31 for 21 - Day 20

So I missed a few days due to being busy, sick, and tired. But, I'm back on track and will finish strong!

Before I get to today's two kids, I want to share about the craft sale Rachel and I did yesterday!
It was a large indoor (yay!) sale at a local school. One of those big ones you have to pay to get into. After a rough start with set up, we did so well, and ended the day with record sales!! We raised $374!! An all time sale record! God is soo good!!

This is beautiful Lanaya! She is 3 years old, has Down syndrome, a heart condition, and described as sweet and friendly.
She loves music, gets along well with other children, and plays with toys appropiately. She doesn't have any words or feed herself yet, but she can stand holding onto something.
She sounds like a sweet love bug who would do great in a family!!

And this is Aisha. Another beautiful girl with a beautiful name. But she is stuck in Russia, because of the adoption ban.

Please pray for her!

Matthew 18:14

Matthew 18:14 used to be the name of this blog. I have since changed it to What it Means to Love, but the address remains 'matthew18vs14'.

"It is not the will of our Father in Heaven that any of these little ones should perish."

I love that verse, and it fits so well with this blog, because that is the underlying theme. Whether it's sharing about children who need families, praying for those stuck in countries no longer open, helping families with fundraising and such to bring their children home, helping families bring their children home by taking care of their other children, or loving on children already home... it's not God's will that ANY of them should perish.

Not Angela.

Not Owen.

Not Mark.

Not Ekaterina.

Not Jacob.

Not Aisha.

Not Lilly.

Not Sutter.

Not Allen.

Not Maria.

Not Hope.

Not Angelia.

He is not willing that ANY should perish.

Let's be His hands and feet, and do everything in our power to keep them from perishing.

Waiting Wednesday: Aisha

To start off the year, I want to introduce you to a little girl who has been waiting for her forever family for 3 years - Aisha!

Aisha K. 23C

1v27-23H
Aisha K.
Date of Birth: January 2009
Gender: Female
Eyes: Brown
Hair: dark brown
Nature: Calm

Aisha is a doll baby!  We do not have any further medical info about her at this time, but please inquire with our agency partner.
Aisha's region requires married couple only, small families ( no more than 3 children at home), VERY comfortable financially, and preferred experience with Down syndrome.   This is a particularly costly region, so total adoption costs could exceed $33,000.   Aisha's adoption and others from this region will open the door for dozens and dozens of other children with Down syndrome just in this one region alone!

$2751.00 is available towards the cost of my adoption.

I loved Aisha since the day I first saw her picture and she just got a new picture yesterday! She turns 3 this month, wouldn't it be an awesome birthday present if she got a family committed to her?? You can't say no to those big beautiful eyes!

Wouldn't it be awesome if she found a family too??
