Chosen!

Some things are too good for words. So I don't have many. The 4 most important are....
GRETA HAS A FAMILY!!!
My sweet love. She has waited over 15 years. 15 years of being rejected, and today, she is CHOSEN.
The sweatshirt I was wearing when I met her 3 months ago says "Chosen Adopted Loved". Today she is chosen, soon she will be adopted, and even though she is already loved from afar, soon SHE will KNOW she is LOVED.
I met her just over 3 months ago, and it's been 3 months since I said goodbye to her. 3 months since I whispered in her and promised her I would make sure her mama found her.
Her mama found her, her mama loves her, and her mama is going to bring her HOME!
Praising God here today through my happy tears. In awe of how GOOD he is.

I kept my promise to Greta, and He also keeps his promises. God places the lonely in families; He sets the prisoners free and gives them joy!

31 for 21 - Day 29

Yup, I failed at getting back on track. We'll rock the last the last three days though! :)

Today's waiting-child-soon-to-be-no-longer-waiting is JIMMY!

HE HAS A FAMILY!
You can follow his family's journey here on their blog - Bringing Home Asher

Today's waiting child is handsome Duane!
Mr. Duane has Down syndrome and is available for adoption. He is in the same place as Maria and Sutter!
He's described as loving and huggable, and need a mama who will give him all the love he wants and then some!

And today's child who is stuck in Russia, Allen.
Over the years we have watched him grow up in pictures.

But he doesn't do much growing, he just looks sicker and sicker.
Please pray the ban will be lifted and a family can get to him before it's too late.

He is worth more.

He doesn't deserve to sit in an orphanage alone.

He doesn't deserve to fight leukemia alone.

He is not a forgotten child tucked away in an orphanage anymore.

He is worth more that.

He deserves a family.
And he has one!!
I am completely overwhelmed by God's goodness!! To know that a family loves him so very much and is working hard to bring him home, brings a warm fuzzy feeling to my heart. Thank you, thank you, thank you Jesus!

Keep the party going!

Do you remember Joseph? Who was aging out the same time as Sebastian??
Sebastian found a family in time, but Joseph didn't. His only hope was if a family had already had their paperwork into USCIS before his birthday.

God did miracles friends. Why did we doubt?

JOSEPH HAS A FAMILY!!!!

A family was working to get another aged out boy, but things weren't coming together for them to go get him. So now they are getting Joseph instead!! (Don't worry, the other boy still has a family working to get him that also had their paperwork in on time.)

And not only are they getting Joseph, they are getting 3 other kids who would age out soon!!!
"Isaac"
"Mariah"
"Tobias"
They listened God's calling to saving 4 children who would otherwise probably live lives as prostitutes and drug addicts on the streets!

Go show this family some love, and help them raise the funds to bring their kids home, by donating to their FSP - The Hommel Family

Oh and Sebastian's family??? They are now bring home 3 boys who have aged out or will soon! And they need help raising money to bring them home too! Visit their FSP here, and their blog here.

God sure is GOOD, isn't He??

Someone...

I may or may not have squealed today and started crying when I saw something on Facebook.......

Someone has a family....

Someone who I've loved for a long long time....

Someone who has waiting for a family for a long long time....

Someone who hasn't had an update in a long time....

Someone who has bad pictures....

Someone who had a lot of medical needs....

Someone who was very unlikely to be chosen....

Someone who I was I was afraid might never have a family because of all the facts above....

That someone, now HAS A FAMILY!!!
THANK YOU JESUS FOR SENDING SERGEY A FAMILY!!!

One FOUND, one still LOST.

For the past week... every time I have clicked on the My Family Found Me page, I've held my breath, praying that this would be the time I would see these two faces on it.
I am VERY happy to announce that it happened last night!

I opened up the page, and was soo very happy to see sweet Dennis on the top. And then I scrolled down some more and saw this face.
That's when I squealed. Like a pig. No shame. In fact, loud enough that Rachel, who is 20 mi away from me, heard me. (So maybe I typed it as soon as I could see out of my ears, which were leaking insane amounts of liquid. Weird.)

SEBASTIAN HAS A FAMILY!!!!!!!!

PRAISE GOD!!!!!! Just DAYS from aging out, he has a family!!!!!!

And the icing on the cake?? I kept scrolling down, and "Ianto" does too!!! He is two months older than me, and will age out in just over a year. I had planned on advocating for him, but now I don't have too! And, I assume, he and "Sebastian" are going to be brothers! Yay!

++++++

But, the sad part - Joseph wasn't on there.

He has a bad picture, and doesn't have as much info as Sebastian did, but he's no less deserving of a family. It's not his fault no one got a good picture or no one who met him wrote a bio about him!!

HE HAS 7 DAYS TO FIND A FAMILY!!!

PLEASE spread the word about him, and pray for a family and for him!! A family needs to file paperwork to USCIS for him on or before April 24th!! Only 7 days left (including today).

SEVEN DAYS!!!

Please email Debbie at debbie@reecesrainbow.org for more info about adopting him and getting submitted to USCIS. Serious inquiries only please.

HELP FIND HIM A FAMILY!!!

Feeding Casey, Simon, and Bobby

This morning I found out that sweet Bobby HAS A FAMILY!!!!!
Praise God! I can't wait for them to rescue him from that horrid place!!

+++++

My friend Julia Nalle, is hosting the second Mulligan Stew over on her blog. And this year she is feeding three of the boys I've advocated for - Casey, Simon, and Bobby!
Casey
Simon
Bobby
Today is the last day of the stew... and there are still some goals to be met! (Even though Bobby now has a family, he is still part of the stew.) There are lots of amazing prizes and lots of families and children to choose to donate to. Go check it out, and be a part of something amazing!

Oh, and as an added incentive, if you donate today, you can be entered in a drawing to win this amazing piece of art done by the famous Aaron himself!
The Motorcycle
Aaron
Aaron has no real working muscles or tendons in his arm, he somehow manages to weave the pencil through his fingers and uses his shoulder to move it. Amazing.

Ok, now go help feed these children and families! :)

He is breaking their hearts.

God is stirring the hearts of His people.

Breaking their hearts for what breaks His.

Reminding them of His command to care for the fatherless.

Tabitha - Another picture removed!

I just removed another picture from my sidebar, from the pictures of waiting children.

Why? Because that child HAS A FAMILY that loves her very much and will soon be working hard to bring her HOME!

Who is that child?
TABITHA!!!

Yes, my sweet sister of my heart has a family!!!
I am soo happy she'll be going home and will learn what it means to be LOVED!
She has been waiting 2 1/2 long years.
I know of at least 4 families that have wanted to adopt her but couldn't.
And now Miss Beautiful will not have to wait much longer before she can get out of that orphanage forever!!
"A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families." Psalm 68:5-6a
