My current favorite song, and the cry of my heart!
Jesus, let my love look like You and what You're made of. Love's a sacrifice, and you were the perfect example. Show me how to love constantly and unconditionally, I still have a lot to learn. Without love, my life and what I do is meaningless and worthless. Show me what it means to love with agape love like You love me. Let my life be the proof of Your love!! Amen.
Thanks for a very nice post. thanks to you a discovered a lovely and oh so true song.
ReplyDeleteOne part I really love is toward the end when they sing "when all is said and done, when we sing our final song, only love remains, only love remains." I am french originaly and still live in Europe. My grand-father, then a catholic boy of eighteen living in a remote corner of Frence, was taken in the midle of WWII for no apparent reason (the french police under german law had quotas of jews to gather and send to their death and when they could not find enough or somthing they sometime took whoever they chanced upon...) and sent to a work camp named Buchenwald. Not a nice place at any rate. He was young, 4 years older than you, he was athletic and had a few friends with him. Thanks to the lord he and his friends made it through. Like many survivors he would never really talk about what he had lived through. HE would only absolutly refuse to wear shirts with lines on them :-) . The only thing he said about his experience during that dreadfull time, and this is why I'm writting you this, is that in the midst of all that horror he had learned one thing most of all "God is love". "God is love" nothing else matters.
I hope you don't mind my sharing that with you and your readers. That was repeated to me by my mother and now I try to teach that profund truth to my 3 children...
