Tree Decorating!

Earlier this week we decorated our Christmas tree.... Here are pics, and my favorite ornaments! :)

I apologize in advance for the blurry pictures... I had my camera on a weird setting to try and make the best of the low light in the room, and didn't realize until I uploaded them that they were so blurry!

Look! An ornament form last year. It's Carrington!! Little did we know at the time we got this ornament how grave condition she was in. PRAISE GOD she is HOME with her FAMILY and THRIVING NOW!

And this year's ornaments! Tabitha is still waiting!!

Lilly is still waiting for her family!

And of course Lyla (Lilianna) is still waiting!!

(She is not in the picture above, because she is not supposed to be on the tree yet! She along with two others have to wait to go on the tree until Christmas! But shh! Don't tell anyone I said that, I'm not supposed to know that!)

Waiting Wednesday: Lyla... again

Yes, I'm doing her yet again for Waiting Wednesday.. because she is still waiting.

This morning I woke up to an AWESOME SURPRISE!! New pictures of Lyla!!!!!!!!!!!

She looks sooo much better than she did in her last pictures!

And of course there are her first three pictures!

WHERE OH WHERE IS HER FAMILY???

Now that both Logan and Ryan have families, my focus for finding a family is on Lyla. Logan and Ryan had many advocates, Lyla not so many. Please spread the word about her! It's as simple as posting the link to her profile on Facebook, or posting her picture saying she needs a mama and papa! Thank you!!

Lilianna

Girl, born November 2009 

Oh, gosh, would you look at how's she grown!  She is SO beautiful!  

Lilianna survived!!   She had an adoptive family previously, but they were not permitted to adopt her at the time because she was in the hospital and not expected to live.  But she DID!  We are thrilled she is healthy enough to be relisted!    

Sweet little Lilianna has a congenital heart defect (ASD and VSD) and possible pulmonary issues. She is also missing her left forearm entirely.  DS Q90,Q21.1,Q21.0,Q70,K43.9, F82.0   Lilianna has bright blue eyes and needs a family right away.  We have many pictures of her!

$1498.53 is available towards the cost of my adoption, including $1440.03 fromAngel Tree donations!

Oh, and as far as the Days of Elijah... I'm not going to post every day the rest of this month. Only a few times more, like on his 1 year Gotcha-versary, and the day he came home. The reason being I'm posting enough as it is, and I am running out of things to say despite the fact I love him so much! :)

Just Sarah Grace

Nope, Grace isn't my middle name, but Sarah Grace is the name of an ADORABLE little girl who just happens to have an extra chromosome which she knows how to ROCK! She is the little sister of MattyB who sings the version I've posted of Just the Way You Are.

Days of Elijah - Day 11

I couldn't think of anything to post about today so I asked Elijah what I should say about him today. I wish I could have gotten it on video, it was too cute!

He signed Isaac (my 7 yo brother), pointed up the stairs, and signed something which I'm guessing was naughty?? (How did he learn that one!?!) Complete with hand motions, grunts, and some of the sounds of the words he was trying to say.

Which translates to (knowing the background of what just happened):

"I was following Isaac around, and he went up the stairs and shut the baby gate behind him, leaving me down here. He's naughty and now I'm mad at him and grumpy!"


I couldn't believe this was the best picture I could find of him being grumpy! It's not like it happens very often or anything! ;)

Days of Elijah - Day 10

Yes, I'm skipping day 9... can't think of anything for it! :)

One year ago today... there was ONE LESS ORPHAN in the world, and I became a big sister of 5! Because one year ago today, my parents had court over in Ukraine, and Elijah became a part of our FAMILY FOREVER!!
