Home is where the heart is.

They say home is where the heart is. Maybe that's why I don't get homesick easily when I travel.

Because I tend to leave a piece my heart wherever I go and with whoever I stay with and thus I make that place home.

For me, my earthly homes are in Wisconsin. In Ukraine. In New York. In Kansas.

In December, I made Kansas home. That's why tonight, even though I'm in Kansas again, I feel like I'm at home. Because I'm back again with people I left my heart with.

I'm with my Kansas family, in my Kansas home. And I am soo blessed I have the chance to be back here.
Theo and I - He was in a such a good mood.. he was either wound up or happy to see me, I'd like to think it was the latter. ;)
Mommy is leaving to go back to bring Maxim home for good, so for the next few weeks (4!), I get to be here and help care for the kids again!

Mission: Bring Maxim Home is in full operation! Let's do it!!!

  1. Wow for a second when I glanced at the picture I thought it was your brother Elijah, either I'm up way to late right now or Theo looks a bit like your brother!

  3. Wow, Sarah, how exciting to be back in Kansas helping to bring Maxim home. I have been keeping up with your blog, but don't always have time to leave a message. We are thinking of you and hoping everything goes well. I will be in touch with you again soon to ask your help in advocating for a certain little girl in Ukraine. I know you are busy, but I hope you can help.
