31 for 21 - Day 29

Yup, I failed at getting back on track. We'll rock the last the last three days though! :)

Today's waiting-child-soon-to-be-no-longer-waiting is JIMMY!

HE HAS A FAMILY!
You can follow his family's journey here on their blog - Bringing Home Asher

Today's waiting child is handsome Duane!
Mr. Duane has Down syndrome and is available for adoption. He is in the same place as Maria and Sutter!
He's described as loving and huggable, and need a mama who will give him all the love he wants and then some!

And today's child who is stuck in Russia, Allen.
Over the years we have watched him grow up in pictures.

But he doesn't do much growing, he just looks sicker and sicker.
Please pray the ban will be lifted and a family can get to him before it's too late.

31 for 21 - Day 15

Today, meet two girls who have very similar names. Angelia and Angelina.

Both have Down syndrome. Both are (most likely) in mental institutions, and both need families.

But only one of them is able to be adopted. The other is stuck in a country that has closed it's borders to American adoption.

This is Angelia, who is able to be adopted.

And this is Angelina, who is stuck.

Please pray for them both!!

31 for 21 - 2 years later.

I posted the following post two years ago this month.... when I originally posted it, all the kids were waiting. When I reposted it last year, I updated on who had a family and who didn't. This year I am going to re-update it!

The pictures from the original post are put with the Down Syndrome Creed, a poem that is so very beauitufl and inspiring.

++++++++
My face may be different
Jimmy - Still waiting, has a family working to commit to him.
But my feelings the same
Tabitha - Had a family working to get her before Russia shut down.
I laugh and I cry
Mark - still waiting.
And I take pride in my gains
Brigita - HOME!
I was sent here among you
Rebekah - Stuck in Russia
To teach you to love
Lilly - Had a family ready to commit to her before Russia shutdown.
As God in the heavens
Lizzy - Had a mama working to get her before Russia shutdown.
Looks down from above
Ilya - Stuck in Russia.
To Him I'm no different
Maxim - HOME!
His love knows no bounds
Lyla - HOME!!!
It's those here among you
Dennis - Has a family working to bring him home!
In cities and towns
Timofey - Stuck in Russia.
That judge me by standards
Robert - HOME!
That man has imparted
Chandler - HOME!
But this family I've chosen
Tory - Stuck in Russia.
Will help me get started
Orion - HOME!
For I'm one of the children
Jonathan - Stuck in Russia.
So special and few
Meredith - her family is working to get her!
That came here to learn
Lucy - HOME!
The same lessons as you
Artem K - Had a family working to get him before Russia closed.
That love is acceptance
Vika - Status unknown. She's most likely stuck in Russia.
It must come from the heart
Tanya - Stuck in Russia.
We all have the same purpose
Nadine - HOME with her family - adopted domestically.
Though not the same start
Alice - HOME! (Look at her new picture here!)
The Lord gave me life
Margurete - HOME!
To live and embrace
Cyril K - Stuck in Russia.
And I'll do it as you do
Bobby - Still waiting.
But at my own pace
Robyn - Stuck in Russia.
(Down Syndrome Creed)

++++++++

So there we are.

Out of the 28 children in that post...
-10 are HOME!
-3 have families working to get them!
-2 children are still available and waiting for a family - Mark and Bobby.
Mark

31 for 21 - Day 13

Much quieter day today, I spent it recouping, doing Handiwork for Orphans overhead stuff (we need a secretary that can read my mind of what I want done and how! lol), and making new hats! :)

But the waiting children are never far from my thoughts and today Teagan caught my eye. He's 6 years old, and has been listed for quite awhile with no family committing to him.

Here's a little bit about him: Teagan is shy, has a ready smile, likes to listen to music very much. When music plays all of his attention is attracted. When being glad he will swing his body following the musical rhythms. He likes to play toys very much, in particular toy cars are his favorite toys. We hope that he who is shy could become more and more active.

+++++++

And the part of the post I always hate doing, NOT because I hate the child, but because I HATE that they can't have a family.
Pray for Mr. Abbott please!

31 for 21 - Day 11

Alrighty, long and busy day here, but these kids need to be shouted for, no matter if I feel like blogging or not!

There's a country in Eastern Europe that has orphans that need families, but, I haven't advocated for any of them here! Until now! Meet Laura!
Isn't she beautiful? With her gorgeous dark brown eyes, and her hair that looks like it's well taken care of.

Here's a blurb from someone who met her recently - Laura is healthy and joyful as usual.   She is very active and affectionate.  She can entertain herself but likes attention very much.  She does not walk yet, but is able to climb up the couch or on the chair or back to the floor.  She does not say any words yet.   She enjoys listening to music, rocks back and forth to the beat.  She has a good appetite!  Laura has a best friend in her orphanage and likes to play on her own or with him most of the time.  Laura is in a bilingual orphanage, one of which is English, so she is used to hearing English and her native language. We have updated photos available upon request!

Did you see that??? Her orphanage is bilingual! She's used to hearing English!

She sounds like she's doing okay, but needs a family to help her thrive!!

This is Vincent. I've advocated for him before here.
Except now he's stuck in Russia. He's in a good region, but he still should be in a family instead.

Here's his new picture. Sweet love!
And because he's so cute and I want you to remember to pray for him, here's his baby picture. ♥

31 for 21 - Day 9

Jimmy and Jessa. Those two names sound nice together, and today that's whose faces you are going to see!

First Jimmy.
He was one of the first children I advocated for, and he is still waiting.

So many have seen his sweet face and passed over him.

It's time for that to end.

It's time we find him a FAMILY!
(There was a family that started the process for him, and emailed me awhile back, but I haven't heard anything recently about them moving forward, so keep advocating I will.)

And then there's Jessa, I advocated for her several times, and then she found a family!! Her family was working hard to get her, and then Russia closed.
So I guess she's really not a waiting child in Russia, but she's still an orphan stuck in Russia.

Her family has since decided to switch to a different country, still staying committed in their heart to sweet Jessa, and they are coming home in the next few days with handsome Mr. River!

But Jessa can't come home like her "little brother". Pray for her. ♥
