Another Craft Sale Completed!

My excuse for not blogging on Friday and Saturday was our latest craft sale!! I was having a hard time getting myself in "craft sale mode" until after we set up on Friday afternoon. Luckily we had enough stuff left from our last sale at the Farmers Market to fill up our 6ft table without me having to work my behind off. :) Here are some pictures!!!

Our booth!
Hehe, I like watermarks! (It says 'Property of What It Mans to Love') And no, I don't think anybody will try and steal these pictures, but I like how fancy they look with a watermark! :)
Jaclyn's bows and tutu's! :) Thank you again dear friend for donating your time and talent to help Logan come home! I know his family REALLY appreciates it! By the way, if anybody wants any of these bows of tutu's let me know! We didn't sell very many! I'll also be updating the Love for Logan page at the top soon! :)
Rachel and I! It was a little weird selling things in the room we normally meet for youth group in... and sitting at the same table. A little different atmosphere! :) We did know how to stack those silly chairs though!

We did really well, considering last year we only made $27 at this same sale. :) My sweet Logan is now $50 closer to coming home to his forever family, and Lilly love is now $60 (including $45 in orders!) closer to finding her forever family!!! Thank Jesus!!! And thank you, thank you, thank you to each one of you who came out and supported us!!!!!!! Lilly and Logan say thank you too!!!

And Lyla says thank you to 9 yo Patience Duval, soon to be big sister to Mr. Judah Ray for being her newest advocate!!! Love yours and your family's heart girl!!! :) I say thank you too!!!

Ha! A Picture! :)

Ohh, sorry I said the next post would be about my weekend, didn't I? Well, that will be the next post!

Remember when I posted about the nose warmer I made for Matt? Well, he finally sent me a pic! :) He did indeed wear it, and said it worked pretty well, I just might want to think about adding a flap so the wearer can blow their nose... I told him the idea was that you put it on right away so your nose doesn't freeze and start running. He said he didn't need the extra insulation on the mile, almost all uphill, walk to his stand. :)

He cracks me up!

Days of Elijah - Days 2, 3, and 4

Epic blogger fail!! I start a 30-day bloggy challenge and I fail on day 2! :) I blame it on the hetic past two days, but more about that in the next post! Here are days 2-4!!

Day 2
December 2nd... One year ago today, my parents met Elijah for the first time. Oh, so much has happened since then!! It seems like soo much longer than a year ago, yet I remember it like it was yesterday. Not to mention the amazing transformation in Elijah! Just check out the difference with the photos on my mom's post! You can read her one year ago today post here - http://mygodislord.blogspot.com/2011/12/one-year-ago-today-we-met-elijah.html

Day 3
A tidbit very important thing to note about Elijah is he a Signing Time addict!!! Whether it's reg Signing Time, Baby Signing Time, or his new fav that just came out - Potty Time!!

This song from reg ST is a favorite, and has really helped them start to learn their colors. ("Hopkins" aka me (that's another one of the nicknames I forgot in my ABC's of my life post!), is also good at signing this song!!)

"Signing Time Rachel" signing I love you!

Day 4
So I'm caught up, but I'm also out of ideas! LOL Why did I decide to do this anyways?? Ok, I'll tell you mr. Elijah LOVES his "Auntie Crackers"!! Auntie Deb, who she is more commonly known as, always has crackers for Elijah, hence she has become known as Auntie Crackers!!

Elijah always asks for crackers when he sees her, but not just any crackers! He is very picky about his crackers and prefers goldfish. He doesn't like wheatthins though. He practically lived on crackers the two weekends we stayed at their house when my parents were traveling to adopt Jonathan. :)

There! Hopefully I stay caught up now! :)

And of course I can't forget about dear Lyla!!

Days of Elijah - Day 1

The month of October was Down Syndrome Awareness month, and I posted every day to raise awareness. November was National Adoption Awareness month, and I posted a couple times about that. Well this month.... I am doing something a little different. Every day of December, I am going to post a Days of Elijah post. My little brother Elijah came home from Ukraine in Dec 2010, and my parents (and auntie Deb) spent the month of Dec in Ukraine visiting him. So I hope by the end of this month you will know a lot more about Elijah than you do now!

Today, I'll tell you the basics! :) Elijah:

  • Met his forever parents on December 2nd, 2010
  • Became an official member of our family on December 10th
  • And came home forever on December 31th
Elijah, me, and Jonathan

P.S. The "Days of Elijah" comes from this song! :)

And as always.... Sweet Lyla!

Lyla Love

Wow... I can't believe it! This is the 100th post that I've posted about Lyla in! I've said I would post her picture in EVERY post until she had a family and she doesn't yet, so though this is post #100, it isn't the last. Awhile back I did a link-up for her and SEVEN wonderful blogs were added! I want to share them with you! (In the order they were entered.)

Please go check out these wonderful posts by wonderful ladies and thank them for blogging about Lyla! :)

I also have other big news! Lyla made her Angel Tree goal of $1000! Yep, that's right, $1000 has been raised for her since November 1st. Her grant now says
$1410.88is available towards the cost of my adoption, including$1352.38 fromAngel Tree donations!

But that doesn't mean it's too late to get an ornament with her picture on it! Just go to this page and go down and find Lyla's picture!! Thank you all for supporting and encouraging me and her!

Lilianna

Girl, born November 2009
Lilianna survived!!   She had an adoptive family previously, but they were not permitted to adopt her at the time because she was in the hospital and not expected to live.  But she DID!  We are thrilled she is healthy enough to be relisted!

Sweet little Lilianna has a congenital heart defect (ASD and VSD) and possible pulmonary issues. She is also missing her left forearm entirely.   Lilianna has bright blue eyes and needs a family right away.  We have many pictures of her!
