Christmas for Cora Lynne!

Be part of Cora Lynne's Christmas this year!!!

Cora Lynne is a sweet little one still waiting for her forever family!

My friend Leah over at Caring for Celine and Cora Lynne is her warrior and all she wants for Christmas is for Cora Lynne to have a family! And right now though Reece's Rainbow's Angel Tree program, you can donate $35 or more to Cora Lynne or any of the Angel Tree kid's grants and get an ornament in the mail with their picture on it! Just go to this page, and scroll down to find the child you want (like Cora Lynne!) put your mouse over the Donate button by their picture and click Add Ornament to Gift Basket! Your online donation is very secure, but if you prefer you can also send in money for an ornament - info on that page!

Thank you being part of one of these angel's Christmas's this year!

Lyla (Lilianna on RR) is also part of Angel Tree!

Today I am thankful for....

Today I am so very thankful for....
  • My Jesus, who saved me!! And my ability to worship him freely!
  • My Family, esp my two little brothers who are at home and loved instead of sitting alone in an orphanage crib.

  • My friends! Since I have joined the orphan advocating bloggy world, I have made soo many new amazing friends! Many have blessed my life in soo many ways and I am forever thankful!!
  • The passion God has given me for helping the least of these!
  • My baby's Logan's family!!! I'm getting to know them quite well, and oh how I love them!!! I can't wait to introduce them to you!!!
  • Genesis's family!!! Yep, you heard that right! Sweet Girl now has a family!!! :D

  • And I'm thankful that God has given me the opportunity to advocate for Lyla, though my heart aches she doesn't have a family.

Happy Thanksgiving! What are you thankful for?

Waiting Wednesday: Timofey

I'm actually gonna get this post up on the right day! :) WW posts aren't typically the ones I've had problems with, but I'm still proud of myself! :) Meet baby Timofey today!
From March 2011
From June 2011

His smile melts my heart!

From October 2011 - These were taken the same time that "my" girls got new photos. And if you look closely, he is in the same highchair that Rebekah is in in her first photos! Sweet baby isn't very happy in this picture though!

Tummy time! :)

Timofey 15H

1x8yk-15
Boy, born December 2010
Hazel eyes
Hair blond
Nature of the mobile

Not sure what "Nature of the mobile" means, but he's a beautiful, squishy baby — doesn't he look like he'd be a good snuggler?!

LOTS of photos available!!

Donations will be accepted for this child when full medical history is received from the agency.

Isn't he just a sweet squishy baby? I love adorable name too! He will be 2 next month and is still so very tiny. It would be amazing if her had a family before he turned two... then he could be home BEFORE he turns three! Wouldn't that be awesome? He is also in the same place as Tabi, BekahLizzy, and Jessa! And who wouldn't want a squishy little baby to cuddle with all the time? Not me!

And in Lyla news... we have three more entries into the Link-up!! Thank you SOOO much Pam, Rosie, and Sherrie!!!! That makes 5 entries, and there are 5 days left to enter?? Can we get to 10 entries? The more people blog about her the better, we need to get the word out to find her family! :) I know that seems like a huge goal, but I do have 30 followers, most of which have blogs. It doesn't have to be a post just about her either, it just has to have her picture and her name and say that she needs a family urgently because of her heart condition. It isn't that hard to link-up once you've posted. There are instructions here or email me if you need more help! :) Thank you!!!

I also have a new collage of her you are welcome to steal for your blog post!

My Weekend!

I know I should have gotten this up on Monday, but hey, I should have had my Faithful Friday post up on Friday! :)

I had a lot of fun hunting this past weekend with my dad! I didn't carry a gun, but I enjoy going with dad. I think we decided this was the 5th year I've gone. On Saturday.... we saw a mouse, a lot squirrels and a buck and a doe which layed down on the other side of some really thick brush, so dad didn't get a shot at them. Here are some pictures from Saturday!

(Be warned.... I'm addicted to my macro lens! The water droplets on everything intrigued me! And I was kinda bored.... so I was taking pictures of weird things! :) I did take over a hundred pictures, but don't worry, I'm not gonna post that many!)
Dad in his stand, and the orange cushion thingy was my spot... :)

We were on channel 10 for the 10 pt buck we were supposed to shoot!

See what I mean about taking pictures of weird things?? This is my coat zipper!

This.... would be my snowpants!

On Sunday we moved to a different stand so Dad and I could sit together. After we sat for a couple hours, and drove one of the ridges, we went out for brunch. Then we came back and my dad's collage roommate, whom we hunt with wasn't feeling well and went back home. His daughter, Aspen, came back out to sit with us for an hour. Dad went to sit, and we walked up the hill to get all of out stuff outta of the stand we sat in earlier in the morning and walked down the hill we drove earlier this morning. Apparently it worked when we tried to kick something down to Dad, as we heard a shot! :) We walked down and he had gotten a big doe!! After field dressing it and dragging the heavy thing back to car, we went to register it. Here are some pictures form Sunday! Not as many because my battery went dead! :)

This tree was CRAZY! It's hard to see, but it had branches going in every which direction!

Dad and his doe!

And guess what the only string handy for tagging it was??

My purple/blueish homespun! :) I got quite a kick outta that! :)

Faithful Friday - Aliza and Olivia's Family!

Update: Aliza is no longer available for adoption because has been taken by a priest in her country. Please read about that here - http://matthew18vs14.blogspot.com/2011/12/hardest-post-i-have-ever-had-to-write.html Olivia is no longer available for different reasons.

Happy Tuesday everyone! :) Last week's Faithful Friday was delayed due to Deer Hunting all weekend (more about that in the next post!) and I was too tired and was kept to busy yesterday to post.... so today (despite the fact that it's Tuesday, not Friday!) meet my sweet Ovalyn's forever family!
Rick and Michelle, and their 6 beautiful kiddos!
And they are working to bring home my sweet Ovalyn!!
This picture was taken by a teammate of mine on my mission trip in 2010! :)
They are renaming her Aliza (pronounced uh-lee-zah) which means Joyful One! She truly is joyful and will be even more so when she comes HOME to her family! :)

Not only are they adopting they are adopting another sweet little girl! I don't think I'm allowed to say her RR name yet, but she is known as "Girl no.1" or the "Cookie Crumb girl", and they are renaming her Olivia!!
Isn't she sweet?

They had a bit a issue with another family who also wanted to adopt Aliza... it's an amazing story and it made me cry when I read it. It will take a while to read, but it's soo worth it! You can read it for yourself here.

A little bit about them.... Rick and Michelle were both home schooled (which was practically unheard of at that time!) and were high school sweethearts! They first 7 years of their marriage were full of babies - between several miscarriages and 6 children, including identical twin girls! And they recently celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary! Their boys are 18, 17, and almost 16, and their girls are 14, 14, and 12 years old.

They have many family members with special needs and Rick's mom a classroom assistant for children with physical & cognitive special needs, so she works with individuals with special needs on daily, and is very supportive of their decision decision to adopt.

This sweet family can really use your financial support, as they are adopting from two different regions, and really need to get to both of their girls ASAP before they get transferred out of the baby house. There is a donate button on the side of THEIR BLOG to help them out.

They do have an awesome fundraiser going on until the rest of the month and you can go find that HERE!

Please also go on over and follow their blog and leave them some encouragement! http://nolongeranorphan.blogspot.com/

AND I extented the linkup for Lyla/Lilanna, so please blog and link-up!! The tab at the top will tell you everything you need to know... :) Thanks!
