Traveling again... :)

Sorry for my lack of posts the past week, I just realized I haven't posted since Monday... opps. Didn't think it had been that long! Life kinda got a little crazy.

I spent a good majority of the day yesterday either in the car, in the airport, and on a plane... the rest of the day was spent trying to stay awake and at a craft sale which raised $150 for Lilly and Owen! :)

Last night I slept in a new bed where I will be sleeping the next 3 weeks. Yup, I'm doing childcare for an adopting family again! :)

Dad was gone, so we went on a field trip with everyone to the airport... fun fun! Everyone except me got gate passes so they could go through security and wait at the gate. Thankfully there weren't any lines, and no problems going through security.

Funny story about security... after we got all put back together and started walking away, one of the TSA guys comes up after us and asked if someone was missing a sock. It was my 6 yo sister Rebekah's. She said they told her to empty her pockets so she did!!

Here are a few pics from the airport waiting to board my plane.
Elijah wanted to wear my hat. I put it on and he turned it backwards! ;)

Thank goodness Mr. Jonathan is soo cute or I would be terribly mad at him for not giving me a goodbye kiss!
Notice I got him to say cheese, however his eyes are still looking down at the computer not the camera... we forgot the iPad in the van, sooo I was trying to keep the Kranky 'Krainain without a nap entertained with the videos I had loaded on my computer... which were just ones I had saved to upload to youtube.

Note to self: load Signing Time on the laptop when I get home!
"If you don't understand how a woman could both love her sister dearly and want to wring her neck at the same time, then you were probably an only child." ~ Linda Sunshine
Soo true... I never thought I'd say this, but I miss her sassy stubborn attitude! ;) Love you Rachel!
The crew!
Flights were good and uneventful, I found my way through Chicago, and I was thrilled to see a few members of the family I'm helping out after I landed in KS! I am here helping the Nance family who is adopting none other than sweet Maxim!!

Tonight we decorated the tree before Mommy leaves.... I'm thankful I got to be a part of this since I'll miss it at home.

I can't wait to spend time with this awesome family the next few weeks! But, if you remember, could you please say a prayer or two for me?? I'm going to have my hands full! So thankful for the huge help I know the older kids will be! It's going to be hard, but soo worth it to help bring Maxim home!

Also, I would love it if you followed along on Maxim's Mama's blog while she travels!

P.S. I would like to extend a thank you to Mr. TobyMac for getting 'Lose Myself' stuck in my head while trying to navigate my way through O'Hare yesterday. It was very very comforting... ;P

  1. LOL about the song!!! (Great lyrics though - just not when you are trying NOT to get lost!)

That's a very funny quote too about sisters. Lots of neck-wringing going on tonight...

Love you and so glad you got a chance to help with the tree. We'll miss you here. Maybe we'll leave you a big empty spot so you can hang your ornaments when you get home. :-)
