How?

It's day 8 of 31 for 21, and today's post isn't about Ds, but features someone with Ds. ♥

How is it that we can - sit in our comfy homes, eating 3 square meals a day, surrounded by everything thing we need for survival and many things we don't need, and knowing we are loved and safe??

When at the same time, she is - lying in a crib in an institution, eating almost nothing each day, surrounding by just other cribs, knowing she isn't loved, dying?

I'm just as guilty as the next person, but still I wonder - How?

How can we do this to her and the other orphans waiting around the world??
